Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer will design, develop, and manufacture animated figures and show action equipment for small and large companies in the themed entertainment industry.


Mechanical Design and Engineering Expertise:

  • Provide technical ownership to your mechanical design

  • Ensure product designs meet customer requirements and performance specifications

  • Adhere to the engineering budget and meet customer defined program milestone dates

  • Develop 3D models and 2D drawings

  • Perform Rigid Body Dynamics simulations and Stress analyses to validate designs.

  • Support manufacturing and figure finish partners.

  • Occasional hands-on assembly and travel

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of engineering design experience

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical data to various audiences

  • Excellent understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in Simulation and Finite Element Analysis

  • Ability to 3D model and draft in CAD software (Onshape and/or SolidWorks preferred)

  • Ability to write and review technical documents such as Theory of Operations, Scopes of Work, Hazard Analyses and Acceptance Test Procedures

  • Be generally awesome
